can someone tell me then which armors shall we use? would you all be happy to watch starter/docks armors all over the place? i guess not... In GW is way not enough armors to not meet loads of players with them in cities. Also there is not many cool looking armors, so ppl just take what looks cool! (lol, there is like 15-20 armors for each Tyrian profession, for one gender, and there is thousands of ppl out there who need armors...). And if you have enough money, why not buy chaos gloves? or Obsidian Armor? or bandana or whatever?! I have chaos gloves(see my avatar picture) and i dont care what others think, in my opinions that combination still looks cool(changing between mask and bandana then).
anyway, i h8 those who think they are leet with maxed ss &/or lb + legendary survivor title :s

You mean the 10k Ancient 'mummy' armour? I think that's really cool and not overdone or overrated. I have that armour on my shopping list at the moment (albeit for female Rit.)

Every day there are more black-dyed FoW wammos with Chaos Gloves and the Ninja Mask. Why do people want to be clones?

Norn? Ancient? (Though Ancient is extremely ugly.) Elite Canthan? Elite Kurzick? Factions has IMO the best armor sets for female eles, especially if you're looking for something non-slutty (I still want Elite Luxon too, but that one's definitely slutty :P).
Don't be hating on my Bambi . At least I got it playing balanced builds :P
Black dyed female monk FoW is overrated and ugly, though I like the set itself (I recently bought it for my monk ^_^). The thing with the new black dye is that it removes all shadows and details from the armor, leaving you looking like a black hole or a graphics card gone bad.
Chaos gloves are hideous. The ninja mask is fug. I have yet to see anyone look good in glasses. Female ele FoW is capital-B-Bad. Eternal Sword is very meh. Crystallines aren't that great either; ditto Chaos Axes (it's a toy axe!) and Elemental Swords.
Legendary Survivor is less awesome considering most people get it by doing the same mindless repetitive crap over and over again (farming, Dwarven Boxing). Ditto max LB/SS titles -- go go grindmonkeys.
Gladiator title. LOL RA.
LDOA. Congrats, you're good at afking. I'm so impressed.

Nothing high end about anything in GW, except the no negs. The rest of it is mid range crap.
By your reply I guess you walk around in this l33t gear? I lol at you.

I mostly agree with Amadei, except that with some creativity the ninja mask can be used to indulge in a secret burqa fetish:
Would prefer a veil but this is quite passable as headgears go

i love the way its ok to basically insult anyone who chose a particular look for their TOON IN A GAME in this thread.
Why dont you people go and make threads commenting on people who wear "gold" chains? sneakers? piercings? tattoos? use certain brands of cars, wear certain clothes?, choose a particular sexual orientation? have a particular tone of skin?
after all. we can allways tell what a person is REALLY LIKE just by LOOKING AT THEM.

Overrated Skin: Before the release of Factions, I would go with Fiery Dragon Sword; as I remembered, half the warrior population was using that sword at that time. However, more skins have been implemented into the game now, so I don't find anything overrated at this point.
Overrated Armor: Before the release of Factions, I would go with Warrior's Knight Armor (crafted in forge), female Ranger's 15k Druid armor and tattoos for Monks and Necromancers. Nearly every time I joined a mission or a quest, someone has to have one of the above. People are now mixing armor pieces for new combinations, and an additional 16 armor sets have been introduced into the game, although people may claim some sets are reskinned, there are really no overrated armors right now.
Overrated Titles: I would go with low tiers of explore titles and low tiers of reputation titles. It's pretty much just playing the game to get these.
Overrated Accomplishments: I would go with beating the campaign; although it is not a difficult task, I know many people who have not done it.
Relevantly, I noticed a moral has risen from this thread: If item x is expensive, then it is just a show off to one's fortune in the game; consequently, this action should not be tolerated.
In reality, we can set two categories for the Guild Wars community, population A and population B. Population A likes to have shiny things, because they like things that are shiny, so they bought Chaos Gloves. However, unlike population A, population B prefers to have a unique armor combination, and they dislike to pay for expensive armors. So in this case, we can see that there's a disagreement between the two parties, but of course, what we have here are just opinions to what people prefer.
In simple terms, the given moral can be translated into the following: If item x is expensive, then in my opinion, I believe that it is just a show off to one's fortune in the game; consequently, I dislike this.
Paradoxically, the moral some people have that is set against the expensive items is really just a matter of preference. In simple terms, these are not principles or rules people have to follow, or else there will be a suspenseful punishment, but rather, they are just opinions certain people have toward certain matters. I fail to see why people can be so provoked to the extend they have to insult the population that disagrees with them on a matter of opinion to which items they prefer in a game.

Well i still want to get FoW armour for my ele, mainly because i want to collect all the armours for my HoM :-) And it is one of the few armours that dont look skimpy and slutty.
Right now i wear Ancient boots and trousers and 15k luxon arms and top dyed purple :-) i think it looks kinda cool. If i like it il wear it, dont care what others think.
I find r3 fame people sad, they go in your team and automatically think they know everything just because they have rank3 xDDD
The worst looking armour is female mesmer FoW.
As for EoTn armours, well they are ok, some are really nice. I hate some of the new masks i want to get the blindfold though, i think it can look cute with the right combo xD

Nothing paradoxical about it. I dislike overly ornate operetto-style armors which quite obviously could never be used in actual combat, and many of the top-end armors are. I don't put a moral aspect on it, but I can't help but wonder about the taste of a person who'd buy something like this:

Yes, because people would never insult other people over insignificant matters of taste or opinion, such as music or fashion, in real life.

Overrated = anything people clone, feeling the need to look the same as those other leet peeps. (monk with black FoW, Black Ninja Mask, and Chaos gloves, for example. Or...female warrior with vabbian leggings + glads top....not only does it look like crap, but everyone does it now).
